We are adding a 3rd shift! Enbi is searching for a Quality Control Technician for our new Overnight Shift! Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, this position will be stationed in the Shelbyville location. The Quality Control Technician is responsible for examining materials and products to check for flaws and deviations from original specifications. This position will work within a team comprised of engineers, inspectors and technicians, to ensure all products are aligned with company standards and customer expectations.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Conduct quality audits throughout the plant
· Perform inspections across all stages of production
· Identify areas for quality control improvement & implement new methods accordingly
· Performs initial checks (FAI’s) & participates in the development & approval process of equipment revisions
· Communicate quality or compliance concerns, with urgency
· Develop & maintain inspection reports
· Maintain calibration of quality control equipment
· Prepare & maintain test data for review
· Evaluate data, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards
· Review & maintain all COA’s and COC’s for all incoming inspections
· Work with production employees to ensure understanding of quality control systems
· Maintain the corrective/ preventative action process
· Ensure everyone is following the 5 Phase training procedures, implement corrective action when necessary
· Work with customers and suppliers to maintain good working relationships
Required Skills & Abilities
· Must be able to speak, read & write in the English language
· Strong written & verbal skills and attention to detail
· Demonstrated technical competence in quality
· Thorough understanding of Statistical Process Control
· Strong organizational skills
· Strong people & problem-solving skills
· Strong computer skills in Excel, Word & Outlook
Physical Requirements
· Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs independently
· Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
· Must be able to bend, crouch and crawl, as needed
Education/ Experience
· High School diploma/GED
· Experience with ISO9001:2015
· ASQ Certification
Other:
· Hourly (non-exempt) position, eligible for overtime
